You stay till you stay..

 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 # 149

𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮 …𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙮…

One fine morning last week, I had to step out for some work. Considering the traffic, I decided to ride in my two- wheeler 🛵 

The weather was pleasant – little hot but ok to move around in two wheels. 

Half way through, it started raining.🙄 

I decided to keep moving but then it started pouring heavily. I decided to stop under a tree shade rather than getting wet. 

Many people had stopped their vehicles and were waiting under those line of trees. 

After some time the downpour subsided and it was a light drizzle. I decided to move ahead and finish off the work on hand and head back home. Rains were playing their game and by the time I reached back home completely drenched in those pre monsoon showers.

Sitting back and sipping tea, I put on my thinking hat and thought about the day. 

What interested me the time when I along with others was standing under the tree to protect myself from rain. There were many people like me standing there. But what I noticed was how each person waited or rather moved differently. 

⚡Some people didn’t stop at all – they kept moving in the rains, getting wet, enjoying it and enjoying the breeze. 

⚡Some waited for some time but then moved on – maybe because of urgency of task on hand

⚡Some waited and also protected their belongings from getting wet

⚡Some like me moved on as the rain became lighter

⚡Some still continued to wait- till the rain stopped fully

⚡Some stood under the tree – some completely under the shade some little away to enjoy the rain and also not get wet fully.

🍁Same situation but different time and way of moving in the journey

Isn’t this the case with us as well?

Each one of us has a different time of moving ahead in our journey of life

🍁Some are running without getting bothered by anything happening in life 

🍁Some are soaking- in what is happening – one moment at a time

🍁Some are just waiting where they are – perhaps waiting for the right moment to move or afraid to move

🍁And some are moving ahead after waiting for sometime at a life stage….

Waiting in the rain and moving in life seemed identical on that one fine day….

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗱𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆??

 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 # 148

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗱𝗼 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆??

It was one of the difficult nights for the country –blackouts in the border states, air raid sirens, attacks, and a possibility of getting into a war.
While most of the us were glued to TV sets or phones to get latest updates, our military was bravely responding to acts by our neighboring country.
We were hoping for the safety of our country, our soldiers and residents staying closer to border area.
It all seemed quite unreal and things only heard of – but everything was unfolding in front of our eyes – rather our screens
After a tense few days, things have settled down slightly with a clear message of what would happen if things are not the way they should be.
These few days made me reflect deeply – when a country is in such a situation it is always the armed forces which come forward and do their part for the country instilling a lot of respect and pride for them in our hearts.
𝘽𝙪𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙤 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙨 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙣𝙨 𝙙𝙤 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙮?
Yes, we are contributing at our own end in one way or the other.
But beyond that?... that something other than our daily work or commitments which we can do for our country – something which makes it shine, makes it the best and makes us proud 𝘽𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙮𝙖…?
Few personal thoughts – 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘥𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘳 𝘮𝘺 𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 – 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳
✨𝗕𝗲 𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 – know your roots, language and culture - feel proud of it and stop blindly copying other cultures
✨𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 – it is easy to criticize and say anything in a democracy – but as a country we are far better and developed than so many – rather than criticizing, see where you can contribute to improve
✨𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 – these could be anyone – armed forces, leaders, industrialists or even a person making a very small contribution
✨𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀, 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀- It is good to buy foreign brands but never at the cost of products of our own country – same with so many beautiful places in India to visit
✨𝗕𝗲 𝗮 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 – Represent India well—at home and abroad. Speak of its progress, its beauty, and its potential.
✨𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 – Protect our rivers, forests, and cities. Small steps like saving water or planting a tree build a greener nation.
✨𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻 – take pride in being one, contribute towards your country – stay strong with the leadership of the country and give full support in whatever way we can
Stand by your country. Believe in its future

What did Mario teach you?

 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 # 147 

𝙎𝙤, 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙤 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙮𝙤𝙪? 😊

I was introduced to the world of video games on one summer vacation – my father took us out for an ice cream treat and then gave a surprise of purchasing a video game set – I had played little bit at my cousin’s place but this was our very own – the excitement melted the ice cream on hand and the upcoming summer vacations looked smooth.

Every day for some designated time I was allowed to play the different games on the 400+ games set. I was quicker than other family members in controlling the different characters of the games and could move ahead in these games. 

And when we cousins were playing together – बस घर की छत गिरनी बाक़ी रहती थी 😉

The music and the story around these games were interesting – rescuing a princess, discovering some treasure, killing the bad, getting several super powers, jumping, flying, fighting and moving anywhere as per will and of course as per the controls of the remote...

These games made each day interesting – while ending for the day I would think of moving more ahead the next day and so on

With time, the charm of video games reduced. The video game set was stored inside the cabinet to be taken out occasionally during holidays. My father and me still enjoyed few games and we played sometime together- sometimes fighting, sometimes rejoicing 😊

Then came the games on mobile – snake, candy crush, different puzzle games- but the charm of video games was different

Looking back, I think that not only these games kept a kid occupied for some time, but also made a person think quickly and perhaps improved the senses. Few learnings which I did get from these video games:

💫𝗡𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘂𝗽 – So many times I made Mario jump or get hit but then it came back – even after all the chances were over, he would be back chasing his target

🎯𝗔𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 – the sole objective of any game character was to reach the target – nothing mattered in between

💪𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 – Many games had super powers for the characters which gave them some special privilege for some time – know them and use them on time

🍁𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 - the character in the game died but again gets up- a game finishes but you have chance for the next time…

💡𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝘂𝘁 – these characters could be jumped, their powers used and moved here and there to find another way…. There is always an alternate option available
