The value of you!!!

 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 # 99

The value of you!!!

Few days back I got a chance to watch a web series based on the CA examination and what the students experience while pursuing the course. It was an interesting one and gave inspiring lessons in every episode not only for one pursuing CA but also for anyone in any phase of life!

This series also took me back to my CA days... The long hours spent studying and understanding different nitty gritties of accounting, auditing, costing, law, financial management and all things CA. The daily routine revolved around moving from coachings to office for article ship to home to studying and back... The efforts put in not only by me but also by the family... The article ship stories... The thoughts of ' 𝘮𝘶𝘫𝘩𝘴𝘦 𝘯𝘢𝘩𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘰𝘨𝘢 to ' 𝘢𝘣 𝘵𝘰 𝘊𝘈 𝘣𝘢𝘯 𝘩𝘪 𝘨𝘺𝘦 '... The mountain of books and notes...and the more bigger mountain of the vast course.... I still remember the day I became a CA after going through all the hurdles.... And this gave me a sense of pride and increased my value in my own eyes... And the same value came back post watching this series... I realised that often we forget how valuable we are!!! And need some binge watching to remember it!!

So let's not forget our value... What ever we are doing, who ever we are and where we are...we are valuable in our own ways...

You may be good at talking to people, good at taking care of others, good at being lovable, good at being a good parent, good at being a good friend, a good manager, a good team member, a good sportsperson, a good artist, a good anything and everything... What ever you are you have a value in you ... Value the value of you... Shine it and show it... Be immensely proud of it!!!

It is not necessary to be in some profession or to do something to get that value... You are valuable in your own little way... Celebrate that!! Discover and celebrate the value of others around you!! Keep appreciating your self and add to the value. You can value others only if you can value yourself!!!

I leave you to this thought on this beautiful, positive, valuable 99th 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

The joy of learning and celebrating it!!

The joy of learning and celebrating it!!

Many people are celebrating Vasant Panchami today. This is a festival welcoming the onset of spring – vasant season. People also perform Saraswati Puja – revering Goddess Saraswati- the goddess of knowledge, art, wisdom and learning. This worship is also done on few other days as well.

As a kid, I used to do the 𝘱𝘶𝘫𝘢 before heading to school – keeping each book before the goddess hoping that everything will go well inside the head 😉 It was a yearly ritual and a dear Bengali friend used to be on leave as you should not use the books if you are worshipping them that day 😊. This continued every year till I started with my job where there was less of writing and more of typing…. But I tried to maintain the tradition. Even today I worshipped with a diary and a pen.

I may not be a student now and this tradition may be more relevant for students but aren’t all of us learning something or the other in our lives… ?

I look at this festival more as a celebration of knowledge and the thirst to seek it – celebrating the learnings as well as the joy of learning. ‘Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.. ‘. There is nothing called an age limit for learning – one can learn anything anytime at any age and at any stage of life- it can be a new skill, a new hobby, a new game, a new art , a new course--- you name it and you can learn it – which is so easier these days with the Internet of all things. And sometimes you don’t need any regular course – you learn through observation, practice, or reading and talking or discussing about it. But just keep learning – that should not stop and celebrate each new thing you learn as it takes you a notch further – a little better than yesterday or day before- you may not be competing with someone but with yourself on this.

I leave you to this beautiful thought of constant learning and celebrating it while gobbling on the 𝘺𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘭 (Vasant Panchami special) on this 98th 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

When the brain enlightens never before, it means you are in the right place….

I happened to attend the Jaipur Literature Festival over this weekend. And what a weekend it was. The moment I entered the Clarks Amer where it was being held for 5 days, that moment I knew that I will visit it again and again!!! Such positive energy and 𝘮𝘢𝘩𝘢𝘶𝘭.  This fest is an annual literary festival and is held every year in Jaipur. This is the formal version of it…. But you get to experience it only when you are there.

The fest has several authors, writers and other eminent personalities coming and taking sessions or talks. A lot of things are discussed from books to learnings from their lives. There was also a huge festival bookstore with large variety of books, books and books.. 😁 One learns a lot just by listening to them. It is not necessary for one to be an avid reader or have love for books. If you are someone who loves to know and listen to new experiences, new things and soak up the learnings from the experience and observation, you should definitely give it a try.

I spent 3 days at the fest and also some local sight seeing and exploring the city. And came back with a charged -up brain which had had its share of learning and 𝘥𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨 𝘬𝘪 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘪 𝘫𝘢𝘭𝘢 𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘭𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 😊

Being an avid reader I loved attending this fest. I am sure there are many other such fests and events out there offering a wide variety of insightful learnings on wide range of topics. So, if you get a chance to attend and participate in any such event of your choice, do try to attend it. Take out time for that music event, painting workshop, trekking bootcamp, theatre fest, networking event, tech seminar or any such thing – you are missing the energy, the good feeling of experiencing something new and soaking in the learnings.

So, it is still middle of the week, look out for that event which interests you and get that lovely experience. I leave you to this thought on this soon-to-be-100 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊
