Bond of love!

As India celebrates Rakshabandhan this week, gets ready to witness another launch by ISRO this time to the Sun and is ready to enjoy our all time favourite Ind-Pak cricket match, this Wednesday came whistling by 😉

Rakshabandhan or Rakhi is celebrated as a bond of love between siblings - where sisters tie Rakhi or sacred thread on the hands of their brothers, get gifts 😃😉 and the brothers vow to protect them - it is more of a celebration of sibling love...protecting and taking care of each other..

A day to have family get togethers, spend time with siblings, enjoy the special delicacies and have lots of happy moments

The bond of love between siblings which is created from birth is a unique one. You share your secrets, have lovely childhood memories, are each other's biggest support, can fight the world for your sibling, can fight with each other also 😉, know each other in and out and so on

No one can replace it, replicate it or forget it

As you would be meeting your sibling on this auspicious occasion face to face or virtually, tie the bonds of love, trust, care, good health, wealth and support ... Spend some lovely time, eat lots of goodies and be thankful for this greatest gift which you got by birth!

I leave you to these wonderful sibling thoughts 😉 on this 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

Hey Buddy!!

 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞

𝑯𝒆𝒚 𝒃𝒖𝒅𝒅𝒚!!

All eyes are set on Vikram and Pragyan today..... Who are they?

I am sure most of you must be following on this ... India's Chandrayaan mission 3... Our attempt - the only country to attempt to land on the unknown and unexplored territories of 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢... Our beloved one and only Moon...

We use references to moon so much.... As kids we referred to Moon as 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘮𝘢 (maternal uncle) and listened to so many stories and poems around it... It was only later when we realised that the eyes and nose which we saw in the Moon were actually the craters.... On coming to know about its gravitational force and the fact that you would jump rather than walk... It seemed more exciting...

One can hear so many phrases on moon...whether we are loving a person to the moon and back or referring to our loved one as 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘬𝘢 𝘵𝘶𝘬𝘥𝘢, we never realise that Moon itself is so interesting... Over the past few days, I have been reading anything I am getting hold on about this mission and our 𝘱𝘺𝘢𝘳𝘢 moon... and so many interesting facts to know!!

One picture which caught my eye and turned into a whistle, was the one of communication between the orbiter of Chandrayaan 2 and lander Vikram of Chandrayaan 3. Few years back, India had sent the Chandrayaan 2 mission which was not successful and all communication with the orbiter and lander was lost... There it was all alone in that big fat world!!

And now that communication was restored and on successful landing of lander of Chandrayaan 3 we will come to know of more interesting stuff about the moon!!

In life and in our Earth too, we may have friends , family members, colleagues or known ones who also may be alone out there... going through their own struggles as well as happy moments….though surrounded by many... but waiting for that friend...that buddy...

Maybe it's time for us to give a 'Hey Buddy' to that friend or loved one... Just sit and spend some time with... Have a cup of tea or a relaxed call where you can talk and laugh out loud... Sharing your plans, achievements, failures, worries, dreams... Just talking and sharing....

And maybe few of us are also waiting for that "Hey Buddy" moment and i wish you have it soon!! (𝘐𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘦, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘢𝘷𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘩𝘪-𝘧𝘪𝘷𝘦 😉)

Why not use this Wednesday for that Hey Buddy moment and spend some lovely time as you watch the live telecast of Chandryaan3 😊

I leave you to this thought and to your moonlit thoughts 😉 on this 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

Freedom in the air… everywhere…

 Freedom in the air… everywhere…

India celebrated its 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 yesterday. Every part of the country was decked up in tricolour and people assembled to hoist the national flag. With the 𝒉𝒂𝒓 𝒈𝒉𝒂𝒓 𝒕𝒊𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂 campaign where anyone can hoist the flag at their homes, the national flag was visible everywhere

Every year we celebrate this day, a day when India got freedom from years of colonial rule. There were celebrations and jubilations then and happen every year.

But as we celebrate this day of freedom, are we really free? Are we free from biases, negative thoughts, quick judgements, and many such things?

There are so many things which one can think of getting free from

things which hamper one’s growth both as an individual and as a professional.

Freedom from anything which stops us from moving ahead …

freedom from pulling others down to get ahead in the race…

freedom from running the race…

freedom from what will others think….

Freedom from hesitation to try something new….

Freedom from restricting thoughts and not thinking of new possibilities….

Freedom from competing with others rather than being a better version of yourself every single day,

freedom from depending on others when you can do everything….

Freedom from how will it happen to lets make it happen…..

freedom from destruction of nature around us…

freedom from excessive screen time…

freedom from spending time inside home and not going out in nature…

freedom from keeping your thoughts hidden and not speaking up when needed…..

freedom from anything and everything which is harming you in one or the other way…..

feel free to add to the list or make a new one!!

I leave you to this thought on this freedom week 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

𝑲𝒚𝒖𝒏𝒌𝒊 𝒉𝒂𝒓 𝒆𝒌 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒛𝒂𝒓𝒖𝒓𝒊 𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒂 𝒉....

The world celebrated International Friendship Day this Sunday. I am sure most of you would have met your friends and spent time with them. I also went out for a lunch with few of my friends and it was some fun time spent.

A friend in need is a friend indeed.... The age old saying still holds true. The friends change with time but the essence of friendship remains the same... It is a scent which can't go away!!

During school days, the kid sharing his / her tiffin was your friend, the one you played with during the breaks was your friend, the one who shared his/her notes with you was a friend, or the one who gave you that sneak pean during a test or exam 😉,  the one who accompanied you while you distributed toffees during your birthday was your friend, the buddy with whom you took all the punishments and laughed it out later was a friend. As we moved ahead there were some friends who moved out ...moved to a different stream of studies or to a different city... New friends came into life...

Life ahead also gave opportunities to make new friends...you grew as a person and so did your friend circle...grew or changed.... The one listening to your problems of life became a friend, that office buddy with whom you could talk all about work became your friend, the next door neighbour became your friend, people in hobby groups became your friend, your roommate became your friend, the person you meet every morning during a run or walk became a friend.....

Friends changed and most of us may still have our old school friends with us...and some may have lost touch.....some may be on other parts of the world ...some busy with different phases of life... 𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒓 𝒆𝒌 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒛𝒓𝒖𝒓𝒊 𝒉𝒐𝒕𝒂 𝒉 😊

Spending time with friends, specially with those with whom you spent your childhood is always rejuvenating.... A call or message from a dear friend always brings that smile on your face... A meeting after many years rekindles the love and joy of friendship....

Leaving you with this golden thought and memories of your time spent with your friends.... Cheering to friendship on this 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐛𝐨𝐱

Sitting in a cafeteria of a shopping mall and thinking of what to order, my nostrils came across a very familiar smell… the smell of mango pickle…. 𝘈𝘢𝘮 𝘬𝘢 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘳 … I noticed one of the staff of a shop sitting close by with his tiffin open and the enticing 𝘈𝘢𝘮 𝘬𝘢 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘳 peeking out tantalizing the taste buds and wanting me to taste it amidst the several options available in the food court!

Holding myself back and ordering something to compensate that 𝘈𝘢𝘮 𝘬𝘢 𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘳, I carried on with my food but also thinking about this similar smell from the past --- when the lunch boxes used to open during the break or tiffin time at our schools 😊

The lunch time at schools was fun time – food + fun 😄I am sure all of you can relate to it. While it was a worry for moms on what to prepare for the tiffin, we kids definitely enjoyed that time.

As the school bell rang for the interval (as called in my school) or the break, we would run out of the classes with our precious lunch boxes to secure the favourite spot on the ground. Opening the lunch box and relishing the delicacies packed with love inside was a feeling we would never get elsewhere. Those familiar smells of homemade pickles, spicy vegetables, sandwiches would fill the air. Looking at what our friend got, sharing a bite, talking of class gossip or about anything, playing, or just roaming around and then going back to class after that lovely time. Few of us used to eat early in class (the brave ones 😉) and then either share with others during lunch break or head to the canteen. School canteen was another hot spot 😉 No one could deny the delicacies there even after a full stomach.

Those school lunch breaks were replaced with breaks at college, coaching as we moved ahead. Food from home was replaced by tapir ki chai samosa or burger at the favourite joint. As we moved ahead in life, this was further replaced with lunch at office – sometime very quick hurried ones at the seat or cafeteria and sometimes long ones followed by a walk with team members.

Times and circumstances changed but that school ka lunch box still remains dear to our hearts. The time spent and the food tasted at that time can never be replaced. But we can definitely take time out and have a relaxed lunch break little similar to school days, reminisce those memories and enjoy the present.

I leave you to this thought and will also let you drop your lunch box stories in the comments since it is only 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊
