𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐥𝐞 - 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐 𝒘𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈?

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒅𝒐 𝒘𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈?

Recently a mistake committed by an intern at HBO became the talk of the town. A mysterious and puzzling email landed in the boxes of some HBO Max subscribers. Just hours later, the company said that the message was intended to be an empty test email, and "yes, it was the intern."

The unnamed intern quickly became the new star of HBO Max on social media, as hundreds of encouraging messages poured in to reassure the intern that mistakes happen, in all phases of careers. (link in comments)

Can you talk about one mistake you committed during your work? This was a question asked to me in a job interview few years back. I was skeptical in answering it – should I disclose the mistake committed? What would others say? At last, I shared a mistake committed in my early part of the career along with the lesson learned from it

Above two are examples of mistakes made – we all are humans and programmed to make mistakes 😉 – you work and you commit an error

It is ok to make a mistake – but what you do after that is more important. Whether you make efforts to fix it or leave it as is? Do you learn something from it and apply it going forward? Or you sulk and keep thinking about what has happened.

As important it is to learn from your mistake, it is also important to accept it. Many a times people make an error but instead of admitting it, they try to hide it. One would need to do 100 things to cover it up when 1 thing of admitting it could have been done.

I remember sending out an email to the leadership during the start of my career without an attachment. I was quite scared but my immediate manager coolly guided me – he shared a simple process he followed while sending mails. And I still follow it. I also learnt how to deal with mistakes committed by others.

Your team members or family members may also make mistakes – it is up to us how we deal with those- whether we shout and crib about it or find for possible solutions and ways to avoid repetition of this

I leave you to this thought of mistakes on this 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

𝑨𝒑𝒏𝒂 𝒕𝒊𝒎𝒆 𝒂𝒆𝒈𝒂....

Every day I spend some time in nature. Early morning walk or run or any time of physical activity in the natural surroundings rejuvenates the mind and boosts up the day. The fresh air with morning sun rays is a good combination I look up to while waking up early morning

Also while walking or cycling I observe the sounds and notice the surroundings. Sounds of different birds, views of different types of flowers and trees makes the morning activity more fun. I spend good time soaking in these surroundings. While doing so I observed something interesting. There are few birds which can be seen only during particular time period ... Like the cuckoo (koel) sound can be heard only in summers ... similarly some flowers bloom only during a particular time... the pathway which I walk on daily changed from pink to yellow to red in a matter of few months 😊

A tree which was totally bare and the birds sitting on its branches posed for me when I clicked is now booming with fresh green leaves....

In short, time changes and right time comes for everyone and it will come when the time is right 😀 So if right now things are not going as expected, it

is looking not as you planned, hold on .. your time and the right time will definitely come... It is only a matter of time .. just like flowers, leaves and birds ... Just like nature...

I leave you to this thought... Wait for the right time if it is not yet ... because it will definitely come... and you not done till it comes!! And do spend some time with nature 😉

Have a blessed 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚...𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

𝑾𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 𝒊𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒆 𝒔𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒊𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒎𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒚?

The beginning of May always brings back some fond memories... Memories of those two month long summer vacations which we enjoyed as kids at school

Yes, those days seem of another lifetime now!!! Even thinking that you were free for 2 whole months gives jitters!! 😂

In fact, I was thinking that what did we do in those 2 whole months!!! 😲 No school no homework... how were the days spent?? Seems very unrealistic now ... To have so much spare time 😀 and I always wish to get back those summer holidays 😊

Even before the holidays began plans were made … most of us would have spent those lovely summer vacations at Nani- ka- Ghar or at our own home... some went out to new places ...but whatever we did that time was a blessed time and we never wanted it to end.

The mornings began with going out with the elders of the house for walking or nearby gardens, grounds or to help them in some chores...

Rest of the day was spent in playing outdoor and indoor games with friends , siblings and sometimes with some elders of the house as well. Then there was some homework to be done, some hand writing practice 🤭, some essay writing, some reading , some drawing... Few of us joined some hobby classes and there were some gems who studied as well 😬😉

It was also a nice time to enjoy the summer delicacies ..mangoes, lassi, panna, and the like

Visit to Nani 's place was a blessing ...meeting the family and siblings, time raced and one was also treated in a special way 😉

And just before few days of opening of schools, we used to remember all the homework given ... All the tasks to be done and it was finished with minimum enthusiasm... The day before opening of school … was the same feeling we have now before the Monday morning 😂

Those days are gone now... No long summer vacations for us ... With work and personal commitments, it sometimes becomes difficult to even get a single day off!!

But why not keep revisiting those days whenever you can... Take some time off and visit that relative you visited in childhood... Play that game you played as a kid... Enjoy that delicacy again... Visit those places again... Relive those days in whatever way you can…. Either yourself or through your kids or with family and friends – lets bring back those holidays – not in real sense but at-least in whatever way we can

I will let you think about your summer vacations and the fun you had – do share what you did as it is only 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚... 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒅𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕 𝒈𝒖𝒚 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒎𝒊𝒅𝒅𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒌... 𝑹𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆... 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒈𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒈 '𝒃𝒍𝒖𝒆𝒔' 𝒏𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒘𝒆 '𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝑮𝒐𝒅' 𝒇𝒐𝒓! 😊

𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒂 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒃𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒐 𝒊𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆 .. 😉

Hold on I am not offering food on LinkedIn...that technology may still be far away!! But let's talk about some
𝘬𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘬𝘩𝘢𝘻𝘢𝘯𝘢...

Being from northern part of India, 2 food items which we frequently consumed were chola (chickpeas) and aloo (potato)

If you are invited to a party be sure that you will find one of these two definitely... Chole bhature is always the best Sunday lunch...and aloo with puris can be eaten anytime!!

Chole - chickpeas cooked with traditional Indian spices and served hot with wheat puris or bhature ... This is the definition but emotionally it is different
😉 ... It is that comfort food that is easy to cook, easy to eat and always stays on tongue, mind and heart!!
So,
𝒊𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒚- 𝒈𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏... Made quickly and eaten quickly...no tantrums no nakhras! You spice it up, or eat it with rice, or puri or bhature ...it will happily abide 😉

Next comes aloo- potato.... Mostly paired with other vegetables... As a kid my mom added it in all the veggies which I hated... and I hated most of them
😂... But it can pair easily with anyone and enhance the taste.... 𝑰𝒕'𝒔 𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒊𝒙 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆 melts the hardest of the vegetables and make them taste tasty 😉

So what are you? Chole.. aloo or something else .. are you an - going person or the one which gels well with the group.... Or something else. It will be interesting to know on this lazy Wednesday when after talking so much about good food – how can someone work
😉.

So I leave you, your taste buds lost in that wonderful taste and your mind to think what you are aloo, chole or something else while we zoom ahead the week on this 𝑾𝒆𝒅𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒅𝒂𝒚...
